The Wild Living

RCHI The Wild Living ED 2880x708

A Living Room that Brings Elegance to the Wild World of Animal Prints

In a year of physical distancing and scrupulous restraint, Roberto Cavalli Home Interiors intercepts a desire for elegant evasion, and a sophisticated escape towards a primitive and wild nature. After traveling to glamorous latitudes (with lines flaunting abstract patterns and delicate colors), the brand heeds a call to its origins, returning to the fashion-forward and sauvage waters of a refined signature style. In furnishings with an evocative design, we uncover a warm and earthy landscape, streaked with bright gold details and animal print motifs. Exotic inspirations are clad in a contemporary regality provided by luxurious decorations, prized materials and mutating elements borrowed from the world of fashion to recount the poetry of a terrain with sartorial finishes. The result of this exploration is The Wild Living, an evocative atmosphere presented in a subtle mix of African rhythms — preview of the collection we’ll discover at Milan’s Salone del Mobile 2021.

On the horizon, in a studied scenography, two seats from the Clifton line stand out: a sofa and armchair vaunting comfortable forms and an emblematic orange tint inspired by the warmth of the desert dunes. The nubuck upholstery lends the overall atmosphere a bright and subtropical fascination, providing a sense of colonial vastness to any environment. With a welcoming design, the two seats are ideal for receiving guests with class.

Prized details and decidedly fashionable particulars further embellish the Clifton seats. Feet finished in polished gold with the RC logo underscore an elegant luminosity imbued in the two pieces. But perhaps the most sensual and wild accent arrives in the “Tigresse” velvet upholstery, which we find on the sofa’s cushions and the armchair’s backrest — pure animalier winking at the authentic spirit of Roberto Cavalli.

The Tigresse pattern printed over the cushions is paired with that of the Watamu tables. They take the name of a small city in Kenya to the north of Mombasa, distinguished by a great balance between essential lines and vibrant ornamentation. Both models are composed by two parts, one in perforated metal with animal print designs, and another in glossy gray Carbalho, a prized variety of wood with a unique veining naturally recreating a snake skin pattern.

Another fashion element emerges with a contemporary appeal in the refined texture found along the external structure of Clifton seats. We’re talking, of course, about the tailored quilting with a wheat ear pattern. Elegantly stylized, the floral motif evokes the African terrain — both chic and dernier cri.

Paired to the Tigresse motifs, we find cushions in touch/black leather proudly emblazoned with the maison’s logo. But inspiration from the fashion world doesn’t end there, a final touch of glamour enters the domestic space thanks to another armchair in animal print from The Wild Living collection.

It’s the Tifnit chair, where the upholstery in Tigresse velvet is coupled with a soft and sensual retro design. Where the Clinton line’s golden finishes are confined to the feet, here the prized coating cloaks the entire external structure with light. The Tifnit armchair thus acquires an autonomous and luxurious character, sparking a dialogue with other furnishings in the collection thanks to its golden accent — a prized leitmotif, which like rays from the sun, illuminates the new Wild Living by Roberto Cavalli Home Interiors with wild elegance.
